Hello everybody.
I know, I hardly ever update this journal, as well I hardly ever submit something. From now on, I'll give it a try to change that and be more actif here on dA. That means, first of all, to sumbit more things, to become more popular. Oh, but I'm not doing this here for popularity, you know. But, to do more things for the community and stuff like that... You'll better be known. At least a little.
I don't know if you noticed, but I "groomed" my deviant page a little. I sorted things out, added stuff to the journal page so it looks nicer (I added a lot of stamps and made a total random box), sorted my deviations ; I removed the old things from the featured deviations and put them all together in a folder. I want some change now, the old things are old, I don't want them to be seen too well. But I won't remove them, since they're still the beginning of the dA part of life.
So, next steps are a self-made journal and submit more art. Be more productive. It's not that I absolutely draw nothing. I draw much, but I always leave it on paper. They're only sketches and stuff like that. I would have many scraps if I'd put them into. Dunno i'f I'll do it yet.
Let's change subject ! Yesterday I came back from a wonderful trip to South Africa with my parents, brother and sister. It really was nice. We were in Cape Town a few days, and then moved on to Shamwari Game Reserve for safari. You should know that Cape Town is a beautiful city with the ocean and Table Mountain around it. Really nice ! I was at the Cape of Good Hope too, and well... It's south ! I saw incredible beaches, pengouins and baboons eating Pringles on the road. We were lucky to get on Table Mountain, since there are very often clouds on top. And boy it's so great ! Since we went on top in the early morning, there weren't much people when we went. Better for us, because when we went down, there was a incredible long queue to go on the mountain !
One thing I saw too and wich made me feel bade where the townships. I hardly dared to look when we past next to them...
The game reserve we went to was at Eastern Cape (It's kind of a "State", let's say it american wise, in SA), pretty far away from Cape Town. We went there by car, it took us two days. We drove along the Garden Route. The reserve is a private game reserve. I really support that kind of places, because the animals are in security but they are free in a certain way (they are wild, but there's a big fence around the reserve). And our lodge was amazing ! So beautiful and big ! The food was very nice, too. Talking 'bout food, I ate too much. Really. Too. Much. I felt like eating the hole day. The game drives were very nice, our ranger was a nice and funny women. She knows so much about the animals, plants and stuff, it's incredible ! I was all the animals I really wanted to see, except cheetars. Well, you can't have everything, can you ? I took some nice pictures, though !
Then, one the way home, we had some problems. We went, by car, to Port Elizabeth. There, we should have taken a plane to Johannesburg at ~15h30, then take the plane from JO'Burg to Frankfort at ~19h25. But, there were thunderstorms over JO'Burg. The plane we should have taken in Port Elizabeth wasn't able to take off for two hours, just as any other plane in JO'Burg. Well, the result was that we missed the plane to Frankfort. The only possibility South African Airways offered us was to take the exact same flight to Frankfort, but a day later. So we had to stay a day in JO'Burg. My sister was really not fond of it, because Johannesburg is the crime capital of the world. But we had no problems there. We went to Sandton, at edge of town, for some shopping. And then we went home at last !
So, tomorrow we are going to get the horses. They are at their vacation place. I miss them ! I'm looking forward to see them tomorrow
